Chase R. Herdman, M.D.
Dr. Chase R. Herdman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received a B.S. with Magna Cum Laude graduation honors from Texas A&M University. He earned his M.D. at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha., a national society organized for the promotion of scholarship and research in America’s medical schools. During the next three years, he completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He then returned to San Antonio for a three-year fellowship in gastroenterology.
During his training, Dr. Herdman published abstracts, attended conferences and gave several presentations focused on inflammatory bowel disease. He was also credentialed in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and ERCP. His additional interests include colon cancer screening and general gastroenterology/hepatology.
Dr. Herdman is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Texas Society for Gastroentertology and Endoscopy.
Dr. Herdman grew up in Wichita Falls and is happy to return to north Texas with his wife and two children. In addition to spending time with his family, his hobbies include golf, tennis, hunting, and watching college football.
