Kenneth Yang, M.D.
Dr. Kenneth Yang is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Tarrant County Medical Society. He is fluent in English and Taiwanese.
Dr. Yang was born in Lexington, Kentucky and grew up in Houston, Texas. He earned his B.A. in biology in 1995 from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (UTSW) in 1999. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UTSW, and then served as Chief Resident from 2003-2004. After a year as a hospitalist at Baylor Medical Center at Irving, Dr. Yang completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at UTSW. During his fellowship, he presented his research on optimizing colonoscopy bowel preparation at the American Gastroenterological Association national meeting, which has since been accepted for publication in the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Yang’s private practice consists of all gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He has a special interest in colon cancer prevention.
Dr. Yang and his wife moved to Ft. Worth from Dallas in 2008, when he joined GANT. His wife is a psychologist and they enjoy traveling together. Dr. Yang’s interests also include playing and watching sports, exploring restaurants and museums in Ft. Worth, and reading.
